Frequently asked questions

How do you price a project?

Most projects are fixed price. You approve the scope and the number before we write a line of code, and that number does not move. For ongoing work we also offer a time and materials model. Every project is different, so we price each one individually. Tell us what you need and we will send you a clear quote.

Tell us about your project

How long does a typical project take?

It depends on the project. A simple site can go live in a few weeks. A more complex web or mobile product usually takes two to six months, sometimes more, from the first call to launch. The proposal includes a realistic timeline, and we keep it.

Who owns the code?

Each agreement spells it out. As a rule the intellectual property of the code stays with LM DevStudio, and what you receive is the finished, working product. When a project requires sharing the source code, we agree the terms in the contract, including a licence for any of our proprietary libraries it builds on.

What happens after launch?

Whatever suits you. Most clients stay with us for maintenance and new features; if you prefer to take the project in house, we agree on the handover terms together.

Do you work remotely or on site?

Mainly remotely. Video calls cover almost everything, and when the situation really calls for it, we come to you.

Can you take over an existing project?

Yes. We start with a code audit and tell you honestly what state it is in. Then we agree on a plan to improve it without stopping your business.

What technologies do you use?

The ones that fit your project. We are not tied to a single stack: for every product we choose the tools that keep it fast, maintainable and easy to grow.
